Dr. Joanna Chan graduated from the National University of Singapore and went on to complete Residency training, obtaining her post-graduate degrees of Masters in Family Medicine (Singapore) and Diploma in Practical Dermatology (Cardiff, U.K.). She has also completed a Diploma course with the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM) and is accredited by the Singapore Medical Council Aesthetic Practice Oversight Committee to perform aesthetic procedures.

With more than 10 years of practice in aesthetic medicine and counting, she has built up a practice that is caring and warm, as she believes improving one’s self-image is as important as improving one’s skin and body, and no concern is too trivial to address. She is a member of the Society of Aesthetic Medicine Singapore, Singapore Medical Association and American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, and regularly keeps up with the latest advancements in her field by attending local and international workshops and conferences.

Her Focus

Dr. Joanna enjoys working with her hands and hopes to use her talents, knowledge and skills to help her patients. She likens her work to lapidary – the art and craft of making each gem shine; discovering beauty in every individual. Over the years, her interest in aesthetics has led her to encounter and journey with many patients with acne, pigmentation and body image concerns and issues, and these have now become a niche of her practice.

Being active in sports including yoga and dance, a natural personal area of expertise in her practice would be body contouring, and she frequently addresses patients’ concerns by combining aesthetic treatment procedures and addressing lifestyle concerns to help them achieve their individual goals.
